Rev. Richard M. Ver Bust
(1932-2003)
A native of Wisconsin and a priest of the Green Bay Diocese, Fr. Ver
Bust was a member of the Religious Studies faculty at St. Norbert
College for 33 years. He held a doctorate in Historical Theology
from Marquette University.
Fr. Ver Bust founded and directed the Master of Theological Studies
(MTS) program at St. Norbert in 1986 and was instrumental in developing
the program's satellite campus in Albuquerque in partnership with the
Ecumenical Institute for Ministry (EIM) in 1996. He was a past
president of the Association of Graduate Programs in Ministry.
After his retirement in 1998, he continued to teach and help develop
the MTS program in Albuquerque. He came to love the cultures of
the southwest and was an avid collector of Native American Pottery.
Fr. Ver Bust was a cherished friend, colleague, and gifted teacher. |
